Very doubtful Skinz, the other week there, koni told my mate to bring his car up a few days later to get some work done, my mate goes up and hes shut, I only live 10 mins from colour-tec, I'd honestly say Deano might know whats goin on, he's good mates with koni

well hes done more than i thought he had!

but still its not great, it does look a resonable job hes done on the bits he had done but why he failed to complete is a strange one!

and if you have already paid the £2400 then i would have thought its gonna be a hard fight to get any of it back!

Im glad you got it back mate, and nearly done aswell. I just hope I can get mine back now, or work out a set deadline on a signed contract when it will be ready for!

A tip for anyone using bodyshops from now on, get everything your having done written down, and the date its to be done by and get it signed.

As with PVD and a lot of other companies that have gone under.....they take on too much work too early. Most are perfectly good at what they do but have very little business management experience. Pete @ PVD worked in Dixons before becoming a director of a company FFS......

I had this problem with a bodyshop so I feel for you

My car was off the road for 2 years though and the car needed £3500 worth of work doing to it, to rectify the car - insurance wise it would have been a write off!!

I have now gone to one the most reputable companies I could find that wont go bust over night! They also get payments in stages of work done, the down side is I am paying a lot more than what I hoped form the previous "mate rates" bodyshop that took the piss 100%.

I hope it doesnt put you off getting the car back on the road - it very nearly did with me!

if you need any advice mate I will gladly help, its a really shitty stiuation to be in, but unless you take control of it your car will end up being scrapped, I had invested far too much time and money into mine to let it go unfinished! My exterior completion date is now the end of October so very happy with the car again now

Agreed! But its the same problem throughout these bedroom/internet based customer buisnesses. You know the ones:

www.evolution-tec-autolec-koncept-tec.co.uk 's types

They are cheap so people us them, but because they are cheap they make no profit so eventually go tits up!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the fact you have got the car back means you accept the workmanship doesn't it? Or have you taken it back under protest?
