quite hard would be better someone who knows what they are doing to do it,also it might be a lot of work just on a guess.by a haynes manual it tells you what to do in there iirc

My cat did what i was describing, got a noise like a ball bearing rolling up and down a tube - which was a lump of cat rolling up and down inside the downpipe...
Might just be coincidence that it's lodged somewhere and didnt do it as much after it rained
I could be wrong.

Do u have a tray under your passenger seat? I had a noise like yours and took my 3 weeks to realise it was something rolling about in the tray

what about under the plastic cover jus below the windscreen an the bonnet
i did a single wiper conversion an left a screwdriver underneath the the plastic water catching tray that made an annoyin noise as it slid form 1 side to the other as i turned corners

yes the scuttle panel
if you remove the scuttle panel and under that ther is another plastic tray remove that aswell see if there is anything under that

We have a winner, ASh you were right it was the exhaust but it wasnt the vcat breaking up, the centre section was just knackered
