Because its not flat bottomed like the merc were!

Oddly enough it was near the A46 where we were LOL
Changing lanes wasn't nice. The inside land had a rut where the traffic had calved a groove, and the outside lane had a bit of one too had to be very ginger with the steering so the car didn't get a wibble on.
When the run ended the car went straight into neutral to look after the engine a bit. Only casualty was it split a water pipe.
I hope I my not cursing my luck, but I think we have found the final problem stopping it boosting. The controller has 5 positions. It had decided to give itself another click on the wheel. So when you turned it to top it was on a random "position 6", which it wouldn't recognise. So when the penny dropped I put it back a notch and it boosted all the way up. To our horror it peaked at 25psi in 6th, and held 19/20. Thats normally missfire terrotory, but with the new fueling setup it didn't skip a beat. And the fuel pressure showed it not running lean
Finally the old skip is running how it should! LOL

Car needs now a new set of brake pads, and some higher poundage springs (which are on order!) and a new shocker top by the looks of things.

Fookin hell Tim, TOP STUFF!
145(ish) felt quick in mine! What've you done with your fueling then? Pressure reg, injectors, pump, etc??? You still got standard fuel lines on there?
What suspension setup do you/will you run?
Problem I'd have at those sorts of speeds is how low my front bumper sits to the ground, the slightest of bumps and risk pulling the bumper off, fook that at 170mph!!!
You had it rolling roaded recently mate? What power/torque is it putting out?
