Its nice to see alot of people share the same vision of a silly powered stripped out racer. Timrud and muppetsports cars are two of my favourite with the phase 4 theyll be edging on 200 surely!

thats what tims stack said

but where do you find somewhere long enough to strap on the datron timing to test it

tims and muppetsports corsa will never ever ever do 200mph or 190 or even 180 IMO

i would however like to see what they both do in the confines of bruntingthorpe, paul johnson did 179 ina fiesta, so thats got to be a realistic target, but again i cnat see them doing in on phase chips

Slater Motorsport (fettled my car before Severn Valley got their mitts on it) built and fitted a very very expensive 2.3 litre normally aspirated YBD (throttle bodies) transversely (blasphemy) in a caged Citrine yellow S1 shell with big arches and lairy race rims etc about 11 years ago for either the thundersaloon or Vecta Fast Ford series.

During it's first and only race, and while it was steaming along nicely, the dry sump pump developed a fault and seized up, thus starving the engine of all lubrication and at race speeds.

The catastrophic destruction of thousands of pounds worth of engine followed shortly thereafter.

Must have been the Gods of oversteer frowning down on him with displeasure and acting accordingly.

Mr. Slater took his frustration out on the shell and jumped up and down on the roof and scrapped it shortly after that. (yes he had/has lots of money - his father owns/owned Dartford tyres)

I still have the cam cover in the garage.

It has a rather interesting breather mod on the top.

I'm saving it for when I get a Cossie

I know what the exterior would look like, but engine wise what can you do, timrud_'s car is a phase 3.5, anyone ever tried a phase 4 on a LET'd corsa?
