hopefully my zetec s will be wearing rs 7 spokes in the very near future.
cant decide whether to go for the diamond cut or soft spokes tho. probably go for the softs cos i think the diamond cut only look good on black zetec s'

did they come standard on any fords or were they just dealer options?
They were in the RS option catalogue for the Mundano a couple of face-lifts ago.
What a waste eh.
Much better suited to Sapphire Cosworths and S2 RS Turbos.
They are a classic Ford design from a little further back though and are the same shape and dish as the 13s on the Capri 2.8i special and the 15s on the 280S.
Would like a set for my shopping car in satin silver

No, actually identical (probably an optical illusion).
Just with blue oval in centre cap rather than circular RS badge, and finished in satin silver rather than diamond cut.
Just the ones I want for the torquesteer express
Much nicer than diamond cut in my opinion as less showy and cleaner looking on a simple car, and far more weather and brake dust friendly/ resistant for our nasty climate etc.

Can't put them on an 1800!
Far too big.
Will devalue it if anything, and rub like fuck, and look all wrong.
Only time 17s look ok is if they're Compomotive split rims used in conjunction with an X Pack or thundersaloon type of look, but that would probably devalue it also unless it's rotten and nees lots of work.
Need to keep the original 4 spokes on there or maybe a set of genuine Minilites.
He must have paid a king's ransom for it - is it a shed or a clean one?

Can't use the Rover for shopping as the boot is full of 18, and the oversteer would ruin the shopping.
Besides, it's a proper saloon, whereas the whoom-tish car has all the visual attributes (hatchback etc) of a regular Tescos visitor.

it's immaculate apparently. i've not seen it.
sounded a lot of cash at 2300, but if the condition is that good and it's what he really wants, then fair play.
it's mallard grreen apparently but i thought that was an escos only colour.

It is
Just noticed the price
They normally go for 6 grand-ish for a sh*tter, right up to 15 or more for a minter depending on spec etc.
Bloody weird colour to paint it though, i've only ever seen white ones and one signal amber one - would explain the price. If someone's repainted it in such an unsuitable and unoriginal colour it would devalue it horribly - still, bloody cheap though.
Would be very interested to see a picture of it.
