I used to work at porsche and the prices they charge are stupid, even if you just buy the parts there silly money!
The boxster 3.2 s is a nice car with few extras but will be very very expensive to run!
The s2000 i love, obv as we have the engine going in the kit car, but we had one for a weekend and i loved driving it, everything blended well and can be driven slow or fast as you want, Obv would need a few little mods, rays rims etc and few carbon goodies and some tb's and management if you want good power - 330 bhp for £2k!
What about the mercedes slk230 compressor, with some nice rims can look more manly

Depends as said above, If it's an S then I'd say the Porker, if not then it's not worth a wank.

Why? I'd happily spend that on an S2K or an NSX. Bit like saying would you want to spend over £1500 on a Corsa really.

S2000 - Boxter is just shouting out to everyone around you that you couldnt quite afford a proper 911! Plus you can't beat a decent V-TEC engine!

I'd be choosign the s2k for that money aswell out of aything really.
I'm not anti-boxster but the spec and age you're gonna get for £11k isn't gonna be the best, plus it'll only be the 2.5 maybe 2.7 and i'd just be pinning for the 3.2 s. The talk about spending loads of money on honda's is just daft anyway even if you were buying brand new.

Id go with porsche just for the fact it is what it is, s2000s have a less wow factor IMO and the boxsters sound lush.

think they are both very nice cars at the end of the day!!!!
i have hard the dash in the porch are really dated looking and heard bad things bout engine etc but at the end of the day thats pot luck if u get good one or bad one!
with the honda i dont think u will be worrying bout the reliability of it cos............its japinese and nothing seems to break on them!
i know buy the honda s2000 and put a porch badge on it........then u have the best car with the badge people like to look at!
but seriously nismo u dont seem a image type of guy so defo go for s2000 u know it will be more fun in long run

IMO their's nothing exotic about an £11k boxster , my mechanic mate said the switches etc don't ooze quality in those old ones.
