criteria of being a fan? did i say that? all i said was people who havent played any level of football seem to think they are the biggest experts.
its besides the point anyway, im saying crouch thought he scored 2 goals, he scored one. owned.

suprise suprise you are defending him then.
Not really. I wont defend a player who is playing shit even if they play for us. Granted I'll support them, but I wouldnt defent them.
The difference is that he has been playing well, and you seem to have jumped on the band wagon of having a go at him even though you've seen only a handful of games he has played in this season.
And it seems your off your high horse now you realise your not the only person in the world who has played footy to a high level (not that it makes you any better to judge someone anyway!)

im bored of this thread.
lets put it into perspective....no wait, read the tabloids, apart from the "echo" and realise that crouch is a striker, and for the amount of games he has played he has a poor stiking rate.
you may see that he knocked a good pass to morientes, you may see that he held the ball up well last week, you may see that he wins the balls in the air well, but i see the facts.....out of god knows how many appearences this season, 1 goal = not good enough.
lets just hope this sparks him off and he finds his shooting boots.
crouch did well when he was on loan at norwich, i think he is a good division 1 player, not as much premiership (although he will imprive his game at liverpool) certainly not international quality
EDIT: essay

the tabloids state statistics, statistics are facts.
you can not argue with statistics

Yes, than can state the fact he has 2 goals. But they cannot say how he has played. I mean Gerrard was imense on Saturday, yet the papers gave him 5 out of 10

Your head is so far up your own ass one minute you are talking about knowing about football, then next you say you do this by reading the papers you cannot judeg how he has been playing without seeing it first hand week in week out
And PMSL @ 'everyone who hasn't played any level of football thinking they know best' have you carried out a full research study on this and got statistics
Seems to me also that owned is the new overused phrase like chav that people like to attach to everything. Even if it was another player in the same situation i wouldn't find it particularly funny it's just not that interesting.

Yes, he had such a good start to the season aswell - he's in my fantasy football team
I think crouch just takes a bit of time to settle in I think he'll be good if we get far on in the world cup.

there is a whole band wagon out there that you jumped on that will back you up...alot of them seem to have gone quiet lately though, funny that.

it hasnt even been confirmed as an own goal yet
The dubious goals panel sit this morning and decide, it should be given to him, but regardless this is the start of good things for him. He has been playing excellently, and now with a bit of confidence he'll get better and better.
There is no way in hell he should be credited with that goal! It went in due to Pollit being a spaz.
His actual goal was good however.
The Freak will get special treatment at Kenilworth Road.
