well thats my car lol and thats it erm i can go get a better pic but i was always under the impression it was the rear break compensator because u have to disconnect it when doing anything back there in terms of suspension and when loweringf ure meant to make a special bracket (max power did some tutorial on it) or move it back further because as someone said it thinks ure carrying more weight so brakes harder lemme see if i have a better pic

Mate I used to think I was the only one getting this.....

Last year I slammed on the anchors hit a manhold cover and the car swung out infront of a double decker bus

this literally has happened to me about 3 times and once was this friday so when i saw this post i was like  so i'm not the only one ohhh my it is really bad and tbh i shud change it or fix it....

how often does it happen to u fad? more than me i suspect with ures being a 20xe as the anchors wud be used a lot more.... with mine being a 12xe i seldom take her above 80 so braking isn't an issue as i slow down way in advance anyway it's not a performance car but this time on friday was a car pulling out in front without indicating .etc

well happens on and off more so when its greasy to be honest and after a while you leanr how to control it but on motorways you dont stand a chance you might as well close your eyes and pray you miss the car either side of you

corsa120 is making up some brackets up but due to lack of interest think he's making one up for me and himself?

Hopefull this will help me keep alive that bit longer....

There's no excuse for having dodgy bias, those valves are easy to adjust, leaving it without adjustment is very dangerous and careless.

thats correct ian but 60mm or beyond at rear and bias valve dont slack down enough so u need to make a kit to adjust it even further

Had it ajusted by Vaux a year ago with no improvement hence with the drop you need an extension bracket as Corsa120 pointed out

i';ve considered doing this as the engine size and my driving doesnt really require severe braking and isn't only 10-20% done thru the rear anyway

My advice would be disconnect and test.

Take it to a car park, drive in a big arc and brake, and see what happens.

yea brake bias needs adjusting as it thinks there is a heavier than normal load due to the 'lowering' of the car. get it adjusted mate. however i never had the prob when had my sport lowered -40mm

I've never adjusted my brake bias valve. Its never caused me any problems under hard braking so I dont see any need to fix something that aint broke?!
