Ive started to look into the conversion, its going to take a bit of research before i can talk prices.

From looking around the cheapest people do them for is about £5000.

If i can do the conversion i should be able to under cut that by atleast £2000.

The onlything is, your car would be the first one ive done and so i dont know how long it will take.

Im quite interested in doing these conversion, so i will get back to the net and search for some more info.

sorry i ment i could cut the price by £2000.

So it would be around £3k

but untill i can get a better idea of what parts are requied and at what cost, its hard to be accurate on price.

For £3k i would supply everything from start to finish.

corsa 1L 12v - £1046 (plus the price of corsa gsi driveshafts)

This is the basic price, for all models exept the gsi, i will need a paor of gsi driveshafts. If you would rather use motor sport driveshafts, these can be supplyed and there are 3 options.

1- Astra GTE driveshafts/cv joints and big hubs (hubs £55)
2- LMF tapperd driveshafts with astra big inner cv joints (shafts £244)
3- Motorsport shafts and big hubs, astra big inner and outer shafts (£366)

Here is a break down of all the costs.

Engine mounts - £125
Pas Mount - £60
Cv joints - £85
Quickshift - £69
Lower tie bar mounts - £32.75
Exhaust (modified by powerflow) - £100
Power cap plate - £35

I dont make any money on the parts, this is what i will buy them at.

The conversion have been very reliable. I done one for my house mate and his has been running for 8 months now. He had a few problems with the engine but that was down to sensor and nothing to do witht he conversion.

The last one i done was for dan_5door_johnson , we completed it a few weeks back and he hasnt had any problems. Send him a u2u and and ask him about his.

My workshop is in a place called blackfield, its about 15miles from junction 2 of the m27

To change a 1.4 to a 1.6 would take a couple of days max. Would be looking at £250.

Im not looking at doing the v6 conversion at the moment.
