nothing wrong with a 1.2 for your 1st car mate there a good model to start off with before you are able to valver one, Matt wasn't urs a 1.4 8v before it became a 2.0 and Tim rudlands was a 1.2 8v and look at it now C20LET

not taking no sides in any argument at all.
but my corsa is reasonably modified, not so much exterior, but i do still get pulled over a fair bit. my approach is to knock engine off, remove seatbelt and at the same time they get out their car, get out aswell. then, your speaking to the police on the roadside, not trapped in a corner in your car. they are often very polite if you ask what you have done wrong, and when they say whatever it is, just agree with them. it saves hassle. in my many years of driving modded cars, ive never felt judged any different as i treat the police that pull me over like people, and they do the same to me.

Right.
Well since you've never experienced it & I have its only right I share my experience with you.
People who spend more time in their cars are more likey to get pulled. Fact.
It doesn't really matter what the car looks like to a certain degree. The police are there to uphold the law, they have a job to do.
Be polite & they'll treat you the same.
The law is the same for every car, remember that.

but mr hogan, driving a modded car attracts the police attention more, so make sure its all legal, plate spacing etc, then when they pull you over, you have nothing to worry about as they cant do you for anything. thats the way i see it

when i drive the corsa i do get pulled but only when im giving it some its all down to how you attract attention to your self with your driving
if you drive like a twat all the time your gona get pulled all the time
i went for nearly 12 months in j100 with out geting pulled when i used it every day

I think you'll find most people are 'ganging' up because they have been around the scene long enough to know that police hassle is usually avoided by being reasonable.
Deliberately annoying the police really is completely counter productive, as that just makes them either more picky or worse more reliant on ever-stricter legislation.
You won't win an argument with the police about having an illegal car, at the end of the day they have a book and can use it.
Most people do their best to fit in to most of the rules, and most of the time it works. You won't win an argument with the police because they annoy you therefore you are awkward, any more than you'll win an argument with anyone on here by posting a legoman with an idiot sign.
