insurance will class it as a write off is chassis is bent mate
take it your repairin yourself? not all garages have jigs, some places have will come out to your house to jigg it (jiggin is straightening the chassis)
best striping it down then after jiggin replace parts needed

if the chassis was bent would the car visually look bent, cos apart from the wing, bonnet and wheel it looks fine, or would it be a slight dent in one section of the chassis?

all the gaps look the same, wing is bent but door is in one piece, everything can still be opened alright. had both doors and bonnet up this morning. Bent wing has pushed the auxilary fuse box into the battery, hoping its knocked something out which is causing it not to start rather than something more serious. Apart from that al the gaps look normal, il find a better pic, took one in the daylight this morning.

Thats almost certainly a write off as the insurer won't entertain using parts from a breaker.

I meant they won't use second hand prices in their estimate of whether to write it off.
If its TPFT why are the insurers even involved?

'Insurers are not involved. I was planning on selling the car and its at a pug garage at the moment to get an estimate. If there is chassis damage I would assume the repair price will be sky high. I will take away what ever they add up for body panels and wheel etc and only get them to do the work I cant do myself and hopefully save more money...

I had a similar accident in my first clio, hit a curb at about 30mph with front left wheel. Alloy was cracked but tyre stayed on and inflated.
Anyways i had to replace;
Wheel + tyre
Hub + bearing
steering rack
driveshaft
hope this helps, by the way my dad fitted all the new parts as he's a mechanic turned out much cheaper than i thought

Alrite bud, doubt very much that its written off, probably jst wishbone etc..
The reason it wont be starting is the fuel cut off will have been triggered when you hit the kerb..
On the side where your battery is there will be ared round button behind battery bolted to inner wing if i remember rightly...
Press this button, it should click.. Bet the car starts once youve done that...
Let me know if it works...
