If your stripping there is no point in getting a sport as you will be taking out all of the toys. You will just be left with loads of wiring...

yeah but what about the underneath components, surely the 1.6 sport had stronger components than say a 1.0 12v thing?

No... All chassis and suspension compnents are the same, the springs may be different poundage and you may not get an ARB, but those bits are ditched in a conversion anyway.... You'll be ditching the brakes too.

See this is what I keep saying to people, dont buy a GSi, if you can afford to then buy a newer Sport and put the GSi kit on it.

Lee Leg doesn't like me saying it though

Mmmm forgot about craigs eck... Don't have the cash at the moment anyway....

If there is no differences except, springs etc would get a base model then because wouldn't be worried about electrics and things like that...

And yeah Lee plenty of better stuff to spend money on but hey, what the hell if you want to do something

You're gonna need seats aswell

If i were you i'd be keeping an eye out for one that's already done and strip the fucker and build it again from gorund up replacing bits where u have to, you'll save a shed load of money and it's not as if you'll need it straight away.

Just buy your favourite ever car back and strip that instead... Reduce some of the weight and it'll fly at only 1/3rd of the cost of your Corsa plan...
