not keen on the shimano hubs and cassette, but u could just uprate them i suppose. and i dont like discs, but thats jst my personal opinion

seems decent tho, how much?

hate rear suspension and hate specialised. btu all depends if u plan going downhill riding or not

iv no idea how much bikes r nowadays so not sure if £800 is good or bad

Whats wrong with specialized? For what they are I think there great. Ive got a stumpjumper in my garage which I think is a quality bike. Yeh they may not be the best for downhill unless you got the downhill frame they did, cant remember the name though, but for x-country etc i think there great.

i dont know much about them now but i always heard and thought that they wer crap. may be wrong now tho, the frames jst dont look strong enough

I've had a few Specialized bikes too. Had a Rockhopper and a P3. Both were fantastic frames...

ye those r what i meant. my mate got them when they came out but i cudnt be arsed spending that money on brakes

last time i went on my bike i went for a 9 mile ride and then back again and i hardly used the brakes as im used to driving so i wernt goin to fast enuf to brake lol.

v-brakes stop u enuf

Because it's designed for x-country Not cos is a specialized,w ho are actually quite good.

I've got a DiamondBack dual slalom frame with zokes forks (shite i know) and used to run Magura Julie hydraulic discs front and rear, sold them and put some cable discs on because i was planning on selling up. I want to get back into it all now im at uni and dont own a car anymore

hmm think i might have to nip out for a copy of MBUK

Got quite a few videos from last summer doing crazy shit

Ive found mine to be quite strong, its about 4 years old now but still has one of the m frames which I havnt managed to bend.

well when dole pays me on firday i might take a trip down to a bike shop and see if i can get my chain and that sorted

broster what kind of biking you looking at doing, free style/ jumps/ dual slalom or downhill? i used to be jumps/ freestyle kinda stuff and a few years ago got a ddg frame which was the same as the heavy tools dual slalom frame but about a 1/3 of the price. if your looking for a downhill bike i think i know someone who might still have there orange 222 for sale

ive got h11s, work sweet for me but need to fit them properly adn cut the hoses down.
i went for a 20 mile bike ride aroun d beau water resivoir was awesome but really want to get back into downhill and jumping.

Magura's are pish unless your a trails rider. Hope Mono M4's and Hayes HFX9's with goodridge hoses tho are the mutts nuts

i ave mono mini's on my 24seven Dark Angel Pro Build!! One reason i got a car was so i could get t spots without train/riding!!

ill be looking at doing some trails riding and some gentle downhill stuff etc, i think itll take me a while to get back into jumping again, hurt myself the last time i did it, really knocks you..... id like to aim to be getting back into it again..... looked for mbuk in tesco earlier but they didnt have it!
