stevie ho's civic (flip with the moulded flames over the bonnet/wings), was the same, rear quarters were thick with P38.
all these bodyshops get all this credit when they're just plain crap, modified cars really lack the finesse and build quality of custom cars.

very true they are no better than thieves, its not as if taking them back to sort the work would have done and good as it was all shite....
Ours went back several times and in the end we just took it back in a rathe sorry state

because most modifed cars owner want cheap as possible jobs, that are usually crap quailty! for example why pay £650 for welded smooth arches when can do same job with filler for £250, my dad always offers both options and its usually the cheaper they accept coz they on a budget!!!
custom car builders usually have a bigger budget so more quailtly work can be provided for them, end of day i think its just about whats the customers budget!

Out of interest, does your dad cut the whole recess out of the boot and weld a plate over, or does he plate over the recess. Mines been plated over, it's very strong and isn't going anywhere, but it is so heavy!

I wish I could fabricate things well enough to have welded the arches on mine... Never mind. Will hopefully last until I know how to do it
Speaking of heavy bits of metal... My bonnet weighs about as much as a 1.0 12v Corsa Envoy
