cheers ppl...he would have got 12 months but due to him pleading guilty got 8 months....

I am very pleased because really didn't expect him to be jailed..

and the irony that he got sacked from his job with reliance

i could get the arranged if hes in Barlinnie

He'll serve half his sentence if he behaves.. but 4 months is heck of a long time if ur in a cell!

hope he learns from his mistakes and doesnt put anymore lifes in danger

The justice system can be fair sometimes!

I must just say, if this was in England, the sentence more than likly would of been alot lighter. Scotland is a lot harsher.

All these people saying he should have got longer yet they will post and moan about the amount of people claiming dole etc etc next week.
It all comes out of the same pot.
Tax payer pays for it at the end of the day.

and well worth it...you think he shouldn't have got jailed then cause the 'tax payer' pays for it....

don't think anybody would moan about their tax money going to put somebody like that in jail for a few months do you?

i didnt say that mav. He deserves it. And so does any body else who drink drives.
What i said was the people who are saying he should have got longer. It cost something stupid like £45k a year to keep some one in a normal prison.

yeah i know but i don't mind my tax going to pay for him (even for 10 years .. know what you mean though...

cheers, didn't think he was going to get jailed at all so bit of a bonus, thought he was going to get tagged..

been told i can apply for criminal injuries now too??? as well as insurance claims...any ideas if thats right...??

my dad almost died when he was hit by a drink driver, id be more than happy to pay for tossers like the guy that hit my dad or mav to be locked up permanently.
