no chance, especially off the lights, ul have your arse handed to u with traction, im sprry, he wasnt trying

not true. comes down to driver skill and the fact im currently running an 8200 rev limit.

how does an 8200rpm limit help traction? sorry but a scooby driven properly will kill yours off the mark

who said it helps traction?

a corsa B with 2.0 16v can beat a UK turbo classic on the 1/4mile.... i've dont it when on 2.0 16v

when moving they arent that quick either....

BUT... i would get my ass handed to me if i raced my STi R in my 2.1 corsa.... no danger

Sorry, but a Corsa smoking a scoob off the light isn't gonna happen unless the guy driving the scoob is a total donut.

I tryed all day on the 0-60 with the timing gear and did a 5.38 0-60 in my corsa. In my mates UK scoob with just an exhaust on my first go I got a 4.72 0-60. Nuff said about all that bullshit LOL

Same rev limit as me then! JDM STI's and P1s run an 8000rpm rev limit.

Fair enough you may beat some of the poverty model WRX's that weigh 1600kg's only make 220bhp and are slowed down when moving by the 4WD but Im talking about proper Scooby's! The other thing you need to remember is your car is modded racing a standard car - Exhaust, de cat, boost upgrade and remap on a Scoob will net you 40bhp!

I reckon there are loads of Corsas these days that can beat Scoobys anyway!

Prob past 40mph a turbo'd corsa would reel a half decent scoob back in and wave bye bye in a straight line?

all depends on the tuning the corsa turbo has had, if its just a standard LET then not really

Not even at 40mph, soon as the scoob is out of first gear I find with mine in the dry.

yes, exactly my point. not all scoobies are that quick! a 2 litre corsa is a match for a standard new shape uk spec impreza, and my corsa is a lot quicker than a 2 litre corsa up to 80 mph.

the relevance of the 8500 limit is that by the time the impreza was high up the revs and changing gear i had 1500 revs to go and pulled a clear 1.5 car lenghths ahead before having to change gear. same in 2nd and 3rd.......

and a 5 door seat leon 1.8 t???

see you later a mate in work has a chipped 1.8t gti golf and it doesnt come close. power to weight is all important.

if your mate has chipped his golf then yes hes an idiot and yes it wont be fast

yes 220bhp compared to 170bhp plus mine will have far more torque, yours aint that much lighter, get over it

Kerb weight of corsa GSI -
1030kg
Power of yours 170bhp

= 167 bhp/ton

Mine
kerb weight: 1360
Power after remap 220 bhp
= 164bhp/ton

dont believe me? do it here
