Let me know how you all get on with using the N70 with TomTom Mobile 5, there are loads of well known problems

Used it today & its wicked
Only used it to get me home (roughly 5 miles) & it was spot on. No freezing or anything & stayed connected the whole time
(I know Bram wanted to know this)

If it is a bluetooth receiver, go for a SirfIII chip...
Globalsat bt388
Tomtom gps receiver
Holux 236
These are the very best imo. I personally use the Holux, so small yet so powerful with 20 satellites trracking and also very fast re-routing.
Works even in the house downstairs..No need for additonal antenna

You can only see something like 8 satellites at a time.
Unless you need gps location in your living room or regularly drive in rainforests or urban jungles I woudln't spend the extra money on a sirfIII unless you got a very good deal.

well it is better to look for 8 in 20 than 8 in 10...
Also, I guess you didnt understand the point of me stating that even in the living room it worked...I meant that i wass powerful enough to be able to get a signal in so outside won't be a prob unlike those cheap unreliable one.
I bought my Holux for 75 and well worth the money instead of a cheap 50 one...
I have experienced both

That's what I was saying about the SirfIII chip. Yeah, try outdoors and also in your phone, the gps will be 'Other Bluetooth' in your preferences.
If possible, get a small antenna for the gps...
