cant see your pics... and to be honest thats probably a good thing if they are of Novas
And I dont need to hurry up and get saving either to be honest...
could make my celica just as quick as that nova on the trot without too much money spent...
and if I stripped the sucker out to weigh more like 1200kgs then it would be much more of a contender without modifying the engine

Quickest (Road Legal) Nova that I know of is a silk violet 2.0 Turbo running mid 12's. I don't know of any N/A Novas running below 12 seconds.
For what it's worth, the 2.0 let Novas are great pocket rockets if you're after straight line speed, but that's provided you can get the power down. A friend of mine had a standard let and struggled to get traction, that was with just over 200bhp. Another friend is building a Nova with a possible 400+ BHP. Apparently launch control is being fitted, so it'll be interesting to see how that performs, but in theory he should be knocking on low 12's, maybe even 11's at a guess.

mate of mine owns the issac hunt nova. That ran an 11.4 quarter, and its not a LET.
However, it is not an NA engine, and was on slicks at the time, with launch control.

Issac Hunt's Nova is about as road legal as me driving after 10 pints of stella.
No point in even comparing that to other Novas, it should be compared with other non road legal drag cars.
Its like comparing that Calibra with a daft V8 that can run in the 7's to a normal calibra turbo lol

the GT4 in your garage is still running the standard turbo... which is no good for any more than about 290-300bhp
That was then mate. She had a hybrid on her about 3 weeks after that was taken.

Is that the Calibra that was in Nuts or Zoo, the red one with the V8 sticking out the top of the bonnet?
The problem is that one actually has an MOT, and is road legal!

Should piss a 12 quite easily then. Chris_S on the same spec, without NOS did a 12.3.

Indeed that is correct. It does belong to Dave Dixon who lives 2.5 miles away in the village of West Cornforth!
