well for a start get the spacers... as i said the et 49's aint gonn work right...
i eventually gave up on the highsports... the only way i could get them to work was with 14" steel wheels...
like you can camber out the wheels to make them miss the spring platform but you have to respect the specifications in the haynes at the same time...

best solution to the clearence problem is the small helper springs can wind them down really low then and still have the camber set right
oh and mine didnt stay shiney for long!!

artchie... them yellow springs must be for decoration only... they are of so small poundage that they dont do the job a helper spring is supossed do...
what worrys me about them is that the little blue thing that is inbetween the yellow and blue spring comes in contact with spring platform....
i did try it this way also..

i had the double adapter milled down a bit so it didnt touch the spring platform, helper spings are only there to stop the springs comming out of the platform when the wheels are of the ground anyway

so will 3mm or 5mm spacers be ok? And whats the downside in using them?
Now ive set the camber differently the wheels are away from the coilovers, but obviously need too se what they will be like with camber done properly!

i'm only recomending you use spacers cos you have et49 wheels
the way you have it cambered your wheels are probably like this \------/ not good..
i didnt like spacers when i was using them although timrud uses 10mm spacers and he said his car handles fine... so i dunno what the feck...

i fitted this same suspension kit to my mates corsa with standard 14inch et49 wheels, and the top of the suspension was close to the tyre!!!
with larger wheels e.g 17' ,i would recomend only using et40 or max et45 with this suspension setup, and MAX 7inch width wheels!! to clear the suspension, however they might stick out slightly with those offsets but u can do the old arch modding procedure to sort it out which is a minor job in comparison! and saves u having to use spacers!
your only real options mate are 1)change ur wheels!! 2)get spacers, or 3)use smaller helper spring

i got these coilovers, only probs i had was when i slammed it on its ring, and the tyres were rubbing on the arch's, ripped them to bits lol. never noticed anything about the wheel touching the suspension leg, and never bought any spacers either
