nope, but petrol is a luxury, the same as anything else which has massively inflated prices over the summer, like icecream

I wouldnt say its a luxury, its a cheaper way for me to get to work in the mornings than the bus. Diesel that is, wont try putting petrol in it, think i'll get a bollocking off someone!

but you could get to work free of charge if you biked, but you choose to use the car, thus making it a luxury

people that have to travel distances to work would not consider petrol as a luxury, its a necessity.

true, but im not gonna ride 100miles a day! (slight exaggeration, 30miles a day is more like it) I'd stink all day at work if i biked it.

thats my point though, its pointless complaining when there are other options
get a motorbike, then you wont be smelly, and its still cheaper

but if you dont want a motorbike, you shold be allowed to moan! there are normally cheaper ways of doing most things but its normally more convenient to carry on the way you are. so if you have got to change your vehicle because of high petrol charges, you have the right to moan! if you are inconvenienced(sp) by something that is out of your control, you have the right to moan. end of.

you are in no way inconvinienced though, you NEED fuel if you have a car, the price changing does not inconvinience you, its just means you get a bit less for your 30 quid, but hey ho, such is life

I drive 50 miles to and from work each day so petrol is not a luxuary, I never ever moan about putting fuel in the xe corsa as it is purely for fun but my commuting costs do piss me off diesel will hit 110p a litre by the end of August due to the yanks / increased aviation so 3 years ago I would have paid about £28 pound a week now by the end of this summer I will be paying £42 an icrease of over £700 a year noe that is an incovinience.

Its not a luxury, hence why they put the price up above inflation. They know people NEED it, so they bleed them for it and rake in the billions of pounds these fuel companies get.
My dad does a 80 mile round trip to work 6 days a week, how else can he do that without a car? Hence fuel for him is definately essential, and not luxury.

Erm no. A moped using A and B roads at 6am in the morning in the winter? He works nights too btw, makes it even harder.

MK to Luton, well not Luton, borders of Luton. Takes 30mins in a car.

moped are not safe, and you cant use them on the motorway!!! plus dont think my suit would look too good when I got there!!! I have to use a car either that or get another job localy which isnt really an option for me. and i also travel at 5.30am not good in the winter on a moped!!

which is an inconveniance(sp) as it would take longer and would have to fill up more, so what is your point here?

What about all the UK companys that need fuel eg freight forwarders home help for disabeled and old people and ill children if prices rise faster than wages people are going to start losing jobs due to not being able to get where they need and companys moving away from the UK (and alot of them seem to be doing it not just because of fuel)
i myself have been offered import derv from many lorry drivers they know people in the UK will more than likley take it and they can cash in
Someone also mentioned with have a NHS and the USA pay heathcare
and how long do you think the NHS is going to last i cant see it lasting for than another 20 years before its all private rember the UK always follows the USA apart from cost
thans my bit added LOL
Cheers

Granted I dont work far from home, but in the last month have travelled to Milton Keynes 3 times, thats a 500 mile round trip each time, i couldnt do that on a moped as its all motorway and have bags to carry. I spend enough on petrol as it is, not really looking forward to the increase, but as said complaining wont solve it, its just life, need to just get on
