I meant ordinary joe compared to the bloke asking 50k cars to replace a TVR in the other post.

I dont what price focus RS's are but will suggest one of those!
Also:

TT - 225
Golf Mk4 GTi Anniversary
Golf Mk4 GT TDi - 130/150
Really depends what sort of thing your looking for really. Sports car, cruiser, economical ???

What would your money go on........10k MAX.....must be spent soley on the car so no LET corsa's + £6k's worth of tunning
One owner K plate Sapphire Cosworth in Ebony black or moondust silver with leather and all the toys, or the best 2 door I could get for that money, or possibly a rough Escort Cosworth if there was one available for that dough.
Also an E30 M3 Evolution, a Delta HF Turbo Integrale, a 5 litre Griffith, a 4.6 litre Range Rover, a Lancer Evo 6, a Lotus Carlton, a Lancia Thema 8:32, a Silver Shadow, a Silver Spirit, a Mulsanne Turbo and an R32 Skyline would all be considerations too.

Deffo,
That would be another consideration for me, aswell as a C43, an E55, and an M5.

AMG =
Id like one of those, rare as well.
Vx220 can be had for £10k, but IMO not a great everyday car. But depnds on your circumstances i guess.
S2000 would be nice
S3's are lovely cars, very tuneable too. I thought the TT used the same running gear as the S3? Wouldnt of thought there would be muh in it perfromance wise tbh

M5 col along with shares in bp
I'd say something that isn't going to be stupid to run and fix for the ordinary joe in you.
Audi's mentioned, along with the honda's ITR and s2k, especially if it's an every day driver.

The S3 is good all round car, but it doesn't excel at anything.
There are better cars for 10K.

Evo 6 or possibly a 7
Imprezza Type R/RA... P1 etc.
decent R32 GTR skyline
Supra TT (manual!)
Honda S2000
Minter RX7???
E36 M3 Evo
possibly a ropey TVR...
these would all be on my shortlist if I had 10k to spend
