I thought the general idea was to always offer more than the price, altho thats in scotland. I'm selling my flat at the moment, looking for offers over £60,000 its quite a nice flat, 3 bedroom, new kitchen, gas central heating, double glazing etc. victorian flat so all the rooms are pretty huge. Hoping to get a fair bit more than 60K for it, I paid £34K for it back in 2003.

Always offer less, if you want it i would go up a grand, then up again if you really want it.

try not to show that you are too keen, i made out i had a certain budget and stuff like that

But if you want it go for it, if your not that excited about it just wait

I see, up here u get a base market value and you can expect offers over that in the region of 10-15%, its like a auction but you cant see other bidders.
