if you went and saw someone thats going to tell you the 'future' are you not going to keep thinking those things are going to happen and in turn you may actually make them happen because you think they are going to happen anyway

The fact is, I believe the universe is on a infinite cycle of expansion, then contraction, like having an explosion of particals on bits of bungee cord (in a very low tech way of analysing lol).
Effectively if the universe expands and contracts, then 'Big Bangs' and expands again - in theory everything from the way the matter spreads, to the way planets are formed, to the way bacteria forms etc etc should happen 'EXACTLY' the same.
Thus, you are gone. Till it happens all over again in trillians and trillians of years and then you get to relive it all again
That's just 1 theory. Kinda sucks if you were born with no arms and legs though
