ibiza cupra is a def for me, the bland ugly astra woudlnt even compare imo.

Yes Rob, but i want something that will compare in speed with that, i can get insured on a civic type R for around 1.8k... havent tried an astra.

I duno how you can even think about insuring things so quick at 19 mate, duno how you've done the Corsa with all the mods at 18!

Rob, you can't afford a Lupo GTi, yest you mention insuring a Civic Type-R above!!

Why not sift through Parkers, see what cars you can sensibly afford to buy and insure, then come back with a short list?

Fabia vRS was only realesed in 2003 so yes they are still very pricey, I was looking at them not too long ago

They are the 130PD TDI engine

I bought and insured my 1.6 at 17 all mods declared

I'm in the same boat as Rob but I will be 20 with 3 years NCB (touch wood) when I come to get a new car early next year I think.....been looking at Leon Cupra and similar cars.

Clio 172; can get a decent phase 1 for £3500, insurance will be a little more but would be cheaper byuing the car

I really dont know how people can insure such cars at such young ages

In sept i am looking at changing my car I will be 20 with 2ncb (driving 3 years) and want to buy a group 15 car

I am going to do the institute of advanced motorists over the summer to get the insurance costs down abit I hope
