Yes, but if he modify's to 4wd he'll loose bhp at the wheels due to transmisson and diff losses etc

what he loses will gain with awesome traction, hence how scoobies with less bhp and torque than mine can pull 0-60 times 1/2 a second quicker

Steve.... crail is SLOWER than 'the' santa pod....
Your terminal's are too low to break into 14's i think
I was running around 98 when in the 14's
over 100 when in the 13's

however if he has the 4wd the gains may be minimal as he will loose the power to continue the 1/4mile after 60ft lol

I boubt hell break the tens with much under 600bhp, which is a very hard task. He can only go faster until he has enough power to spin the wheels at any speed at any point on the track.
Extra power will only gain him in the last eight, which is the less important half.
If he breaks tens it will be unreal, what hes done already is VERY impressive!
Broster, what 60ft times were you seeing? 2.3?

Broster: What were you 60ft stats?
I was actaully getting better 60fts with the std 2.0 and F20.... got a 2.1 most of the time... Bets i did with the diff and cut slicks was 2.2 on a slippy track i think.
If i did that on the pod surface i should be getting 2.0's easily

terminals largely indicate power whereas times are launch and grip dependant (very broad generalisation)

yeah my 60ft was 2.5ish for the 3 runs which i know is lame. thing is last time i went there there want much grip, so my first run i launched thinking it would be the same but htere was loads of grip, so it caught me out, second run i bogged down, then the third run i started to improve, then sod paying another 15 for 3 more runs! will go again at a RWYB day.
was doing 2.3 with the old engine spec, still not great but better!
going to practice launching the car, today was the first day of driving it properly with the diff and new box on it, need to sort the linkage as selecting 2nd is a bit tricky!

agreed, the point of the 1/4 mile is getting the first 60ft sorted. anything after that is down to power

pod sometimes has a very very slippy start, seen standard evos spinning like buggery there.....
then sometimes like today its very grippy!

so now off half a second in the 60ft and youre at 15.2 and then theres the effect that would have on the rest of the run lol.
You just need to practice until you can get down to a 2.0sec 60ft
