Considering France may have the whipping boys in their group i was thinking of backing Henry.

I've seen Adriano play an awful lot for Inter (being a Inter fan...) and I can confirm he has a awesome shot on him, but he is also very very lazy when playing for Inter, if he's like that playing for Brazil then he won't be golden boot winner, but I suspect he'll play much better for Brazil than he does for Inter..........

this is the thing, for me anyway, he hasn't really done anything on the big stage yet, he's scored a barrel load for brazil in internationals but not at major finals?
id be more content with a fiver on lukas podolski, i can see germany giving costa rica and ecuador a hiding

It wont be a brazilian player.
They might end up being top scoring team but with a lot of diferent goalscorers IMO.
top scorer will hit 8 goals this year

I can see where you're coming from but I think the groups are such that any 'outside' players may not have that many games to play. You have to back a player that plays for a country that is likely to reach at least the semi.
Brazil/England/Italy/Germany etc...

Its gonna be Ronaldo i bet ya, they have an easy group and he has the best team in the world to feed him balls.
The only other player i would guess at is Henry

Ronaldo is fat and slow He's also prone to being ill quite a bit which I think will hamper his goalscoring ability.
In fact I think he's ill at the moment missed training yesterday

As for Henry, going by his ability to perform in big games for Arsenal, I'd say steer clear
And this is coming from an Arsenal fan as well I will never forgive him for not scoring the 2 sitters (by his standards) in the CL final. Shocking

With this kind of question, you've got to think "What strikers will get more service, more service=more chances at goal"
It would be silly to pick the best striker in the world, with a shite midfield behind him, so I stick by my original choice in all the other similiar threads, Carlos Tevez, with Riquelme making the play and the quality of passing from the holding midfielder Mascherano.
