i didnt say it. engine builder did, r maybe it was manztel r diblas, one of those makes of inlets neway. he throttle bodies n carbs all the way. please go for the 1.6 8v engine.

8v is only gonna give you as much power as you had with the sexmaul.

16v is gonna be better whatever.....

if you rebuild it as it was, or uprated a bit, you'll get 160+ bhp with mappable management

if you do it with tbs, and a wad of cash, you know the results

to be honest though, you have the engine already, you know how good it can be, and i'd love to see a 170bhp non tb 1.6

black one in total vauxhall, issue that brads corsa was on the cover, had that engine with twin 40s, it said it had 168bhp at the flywheel...

it makes good power, but i think it was only 160bhp

has quite an engine spec... nice to see soemthing different than teh usual xes n lets etc.. altho i understand wot ur saying rob about 1.6s without tbs etc

if its repainted, i assume you will be stripping all the underseal off, and all the old paint, as paint weighs alot when all added up, then it shall has a thin coat of primer and a thin coat of colour and thats it?
