He's already posted that the guy in the Scooby couldn't drive? Get behind him in a car with similar figures driven by someone who drives like that all day long and he's never going to be far away.

And the Scooby was stolen from what I gather, hence the guy not knowing how to use the car 'properly'.

yeah..and i get what your saying about people overtaking cars of equal ability due to better driving, but the scooby is faster in all respects except maybe top end than the vxr in question, so would need to be a truly awful driver to not get away

Because if Scoobys are always faster than Vectras, everyone in a go karting race would have the same lap time.

Plus we don't know the details - there's a high chance the scooby would've stacked it. i.e. pushed too hard, not driven properly etc. smash.

A Vectra VXR will catch anything that's stopped moving

Its all about ability. I'm sure if Jackie Stewart can take 20 seconds off James Mays lap time with a day of advice, I'm quite sure a trained police driver in a 250bhp car who doesn't buy his own wing mirrors can quite keep with a pissed up thief in a car they're not used to.

There is'nt much difference in 0-60 0-100 50-120 than a Scooby FFS? And have any of you morons driven a new Vectra VXR? Probably not in which case begs the question, how the hell do you know it handles so badly? We are'nt talking about a boggo standard 1.6 16v Vectra LS here, its top of the range, a marked improvement on its predecessor, ok its never going to handle as well as a Scooby because its not 4x4 but I'm damm sure it would give one a decent run for its money.

FPMSL, the typical standard of CS debate, some sensible, some not so ,
not going into major details but the scooby didn't get lost by us as is too often the case, not all car theives are used to scoobys, bit different to the usual 1L fiesta the boy steals!

Was trying to put across a bit of a thumbs up to vaux for producing a very capable large estate car,
ref my sig pic, what are track days for eh???
