205..... pick upa pre-prepped car for 1500
A 306 GTi6 is all fair and well.... but thats your budget gone!
Tyres/Pads etc arent free.
106 Rallye
106 with 1.6 16v transplant
I'd be weary of a 205 Mi16 for track... not the most reliable! The 1.9 8v isnt a slow engine in standard form though

Rob - Our 205 will be hitting the 1500 mark about now.... The corsa 20k +
Do the sums
which ones more fun - 205
which one works - 205

tyres/pads wouldnt be a problem, the amount of times it'd go out, it wouldnt cost me that much to start with
if i can sell all my bits, i'll get a 205, at least i know its gonna go round corners
Mark, i can get my old rad back, but thats not the point.... I've lost intrest in the car, and i'll never be happy with it unless i spend silly money on it, which i cant justify.

I'm a bit wary about XR2's, they seem to dissolve into a rusty heap very quickly
my brother used to have one, and it was quick... seems like a good option i suppose

just get a basic saxo - cheaper....then pop the engine in
your going to be replacing alot of the running gear anyway
BUT - saxo's are pish... so dont do that
