yes he will surprise you all with even more baffling decissions than Sven
Big Phil was the man England needed and the media fucked that up for you
it reads like this
Big Phil 3 - England 0
he would have made a big difference with McClaren you will just get more of the same

I think McLaren is similar to Sven in lots of ways. Too defensive and not very attacking minded, doesn't suit our team at all.

I would like to see an Englishman at the helm but in all honesty I dont think McLaren or any of the other candidates are up to it

Ian Wright, all though he was on radio 1 this morning and admitted to knowing no tactical knowledge... worrying really because he was a pro for x amount of years
thats the kind of passion in a manager you need though.

I would have exactly the same apart from a fit Owen over Crouch any day of the week

Only reason why i picked Crouch over Owen was because he's been impressive at this World Cup what with all the pressure on him. Think he handled it extremely well. Owen will never be as fit as he was imo

Yeah take your point, Crouch has made a few people eat their words however if both fit Owen is a far superior goal scorer

I am so so so so pleased that all of you have dropped Lampard and but Hargreaves in, Lampard is a pile of sh1t, second best player in the world my fcuking foot, he is sh1te, he doesn't tackle, he doesn't go around players, he shoots from outside the box, and? I could be in the England team doing what he does.
New John Barnes, good for team, crap for country.
Hargreaves, showed what all the others lacked, running and passion, that lad was absolutely gutted we went out and I have had to eat humble pie so badly about him.
I am his new lover.

Agree.
Wonder what makes us think that Crouch and Owen can't play together or that we can't drop Rooney

Rooney is better than the pair of them put together.
Now that Owen has lost is pace what does he offer that say Darren Bent can't?
Bent is faster than him and scores goals with his head, I would say at this moment in time Bent is a better player than Owen.
Owen 6 years ago was much much better than Bent now but his injuries have turned such a excellent talent into a complete donkey.

IMO Owen wouldn't be in my first team. He's had his time.

I agree Bent should be given a chance at International level, however good club form over one top flight season doesn't necessarily mean he is going to be a good International, it all depends on what formation and style Mclaren adopts

Dont agree with that, granted he's had some horredous injuries recently but he has a scoring record/ratio on par and better in most cases than any of the other strikers in contention

that's it. Was thinking of goals instead of games. I agree Owen's record speaks for itself. Sven should have selected more strikers to cover himself really in the event of an injury. Bent would have been a good replacement.

Totally agree with you mate and dont get me started on Walcott A mate of mine won nearly £400 betting on him not playing a single minute in the World Cup

I think Keiran Richardson should be in the squad, I was shocked that he wasn't in the World Cup to be honest. Similar style to Giggs/Lennon.
