i love the way that 20kg is now seen as "nothing"
admittedly, taking the spare out would help a bit more

Did you remove the seats to save weight?
I highly doubt it made any difference to the handling tbh, why would it?

Do you apply this theory to petrol in your tank? Only ever run it on the red light
The bloke on VXROnline was full of shit and you know it robin
Centre of gravity would be higher because the weight loss would cause the cars suspension to rise ever so slightly

centre of gravity would be lower. the car would sit higher, but the weight distribution inside would be lower down
i know he was
regarding the petrol, no

I don't think the difference would be great enough to effect Weight Transfer after reading over this article: http://phors.locost7.info/phors01.htm You've also got to bear in mind although the weight is lower down in the car it has been raised so it would still sit higher than it would have done before - they almost cancel themselves out
Also please note this is a 1.2 8v Corsa B on standard suspension and standard engine .etc the sort of automobile which worries about these finer points isn't this car

agreed.
however, the bloke on VXROnline was correct in essence, but he was a complete gimp and he seemed to get his words muddled up.

Brilliant thread.
Unfortunatly the handling won't make any differance, if any thing it would be worse than better, due to all the weight now being in the front, but can't imagine it will do either.
