It's a game and i'm sure you people have much more important things in life than hating a footballer.
He did what any footballer would do and played the situation to his advantage. If rooney had done it in th final and we won not a single word would have been said. But cos it happened to England it's the never ending story.

It's not about playing with your heart on your sleeve - Hargreaves did that for England against Portugal but I never saw him running upto the ref when a teammates was fouled.
Playing to win with pride and passion is one thing, playing to win by any means neccesary (even if it means cheating) is something totally different!

Why has no one mentioned rooney and his hot head? he didn't have to push ronaldo, all he had to do was walk away from the situation.
Rooney for me is the one to blame more than ronaldo. He let us down, he blew his chance and the countries chance.
And why is no one blaming Carragher, Lampard and Gerrard for missing the penalties. People forget we still could have won if they could have scored from 6 yards

Rooney stamped on a guys balls ffs, it was assault and his punishment was just. The only person with the problem should be Rooney towards Ronaldo for his apparent willingness to have his mate sent off.
I must admit however that his diving is a joke and other contries, not just England, are starting to use him as a figure of hate for his behaviour.

yep, the ref's reaction to dismiss rooney was only after ronaldo begging for it or maybe telling him that he would bend for him after the match
