The loaches worked for me.
Then they died. I had an epidemic in my tank.

Greg,
Your setup is fully ace. How much time do you have to spend on it each week??
What things do you have to do each week to keep the fish alive??
I have had coldwater and tropical tanks in the past with alot of success, however marine scares me a bit!!

Cheers for all the comments guys, it's nice to know that after all the hard work and money I put into it people appreciate it (kinda like a car)
Painz - Each week isn't bad. I do the following now it's all settled.
1) Check temp is ok (every night/ morning) as at the moment the temp is very hot so need to get it levelled out etc. I have a dig timer that beeps if it gets too hot etc.
2) Feed fish each night
3) Check everything is ok and use algea scrapper to get the worst off the glass on front of tank
4) Get water change ready (this is the tricky bit as you need a big tub, RO water in there (special purified water with no crap in it, filters out the waste) then add the salt (check it's level on hydrometer) heat it up to correct temp and mix it / add another heater / pump to get it flowing.
5) Leave no 4 for around 24 hours then do the change
Thats basically it each week. It really isn't as bad as people think.. Any questions guys just ask, I jumped in the deep end and went for it and all has been ok, i'll help you if y ou need it no worries
All in all im so pleased I switched from fresh water... Results are awesome, just cannot beat marine in many ways, the style and look of the fish are second to none
Im actually growing alot of the pulsa (xena) you can see them in the pics, they are like hands and open and close constantly, if they are touched or a fish goes near them they close up till they are ready to release and "breathe" again, really is an awesome site. Anyway I have loads of it and its growing constantly so ill be selling this cheap on ebay
All in all once your set up the money goes on salt, thats basically it

ps - Forgot to mention now it's all up and running i do salt water tests once every month / 2-3 weeks.
When you 1st set up you "must" do this every few days to get everything level before "anything" enters the tank.
