As much as the old stadiums are cool (like roots hall) it is unfortunatley time to move on.

Southend are crying out for a new stadium and we need it asap

Interesting fact, the woodern seats in the away stand at Turf Moor are the only heated seats in the UK! Amazingly they have NEVER been switched on. When it was built in the 60s it was considered the most futuristic stand in the country

This WAS a cool stadium.....



The stand the picture was taken from was boarded up at the back because it was falling down
