Thats fucking evil.....

Look at Thatchers face when that Pompey player gives him a little push.

Can imagine Thatcher thinking......

'hhmmm, some of my better work'

Not even the slightest attempt of an apology or to see if Mendes was ok.

Should be banned for a long time, especially as he has previous.

Thatcher got banned for 2 games 6 years ago for elbowing Nicky Summerbee. He had absolutely no intentions of going for the ball and I hope he gets banned for a long time. No room in football for twats like him.

He's probably, and in my opinion, hopefully gonna get investigated by the police, as some people have made complaints, and it is basically Assualt, so we'll see what happens.

Was a disgraceful challenge, should be banned for 5-10 games by the FA i'd imagine, and whatever might happen from the police.

He has issued a written apology to Mendes the very next day, but i don't see how that can help much.

If a red card can be disputed and turned into a yellow why not the other way round ?

Thatcher is a fucking thug and needs a good ban and fine imposed upon him. He's a persistant offender too, done the exact same thing before.

Have they said how long for? Hopefully at least 5 games, needs to be more than the equivelant of a red card imo.

pending investigations about the incidents.

It is also reported that Thatcher agreed to the decision

He's also been charged by the FA for serious foul play

thats not passion for fucks sake, if it was passion he would've been going for the ball/ chasing a lost cause etc, but here you can clearly see he looks at mendes and aims his elbow at his head. Was it passion when he smashed Nicky Summerbee in the face or punctured a chinese players lung in pre season? I play sunday league and do get in a few scraps, but i'd never run half the length of the pitch to knock somebody out when i knew they had no chance of defending themselves.

to be fair, Sunday league football on average has at least 2 cases for assault so thats hardly anything to bench mark it against.

played a FRIENDLY on sunday, this bellend with tattoo's on his neck decided to stud one of our players in the face 80 mins in. Just no need. He was the type of player going in with studs up all the time, the prick.
