torque is shown on the graph i posted.
yeah it was quite mountanious. mid range was ok, then dropped off higher in the revs.
torque was only 100lbft and @ 3150rpm

marriot i did get a wheel reading, cant remember off the top of my head without digging the graph out, it was about 200 iirc, i have no problem with quoting flywheel figures, but if i goto a rolling road i like to have a wheel readout aswell as thats the only real accurate result

ok, but it was an RR day, 90% of RR days, you only get a calculated figure.
John, that torque figure is good, up on mine too, and the graph looks a lot smoother than mine was.

please say you are taking the piss.
150 - 160 and above is where its at, decat with full exhaust, ram induction and a remap with get you into the 150- 160 mark.

anyway...back to my 1.4..
so what should be the next route i should go for, for more power?
broster mentioned a head that he will have for sale and some cams.
but at around £400, then more for a remap, its looking abit pricey.
what options do i have?

tbh the inlet is the main thing for power hike, your never going to go that far with a 1.4 youl probably spend more money than its worth, most people who swear they are going to tune a 1.4 (marriot/jr ) have ended up replacing it

so if robs only managed 1bhp more than mine with the extra mods he has...
what would happen to mine if i fitted them?
i mean a full zorst system,de-cat, remap etc
any spec on jr's 1.4?

you might get get 130bhp ish with a bit more tinkering but you need to ask yourself if you think its worth it and if your going to be happy with that kind of power
personally i think youl get bored pretty quick and want something faster

before i started tuning the 1.4, i did look into just dropping a redtop.
i knew i already had a healthy 1.4, so decided to stick with that.
now if i can get 130bhp out of it, it will no doubt be one of the fastest 1.4s out there (bar madly tuned ones being turbo'd or throttle bodied). and although it may not have as much power as the redtop, it would stil embaress some bigger engined cars.
does any of that make sense?
