Probably one of the heros from the 80s

You know, the best side ever to grace european football.

Gazza could pass a ball better than Beckham and he played 10 years ago in Euro 96.

Thanks

i agree totally.

However the way he has been marketed and used his fame, you gotta admit for an average footballer he has played some ace cards

It wasn't a cracking goal, he had to take on zero defenders and just jog and place it in, I could have scored it.

I reckon I would have bottled it and passed it to one of the other 2 Madrid players that were right by him

I didnt think it was a great goal. I did think it was a nice goal though.

TBH Gazza could probs down 20 pints, eat a few pies, and still rip the piss out of 95% of the players he played against

Paul Gascoigne in his day was one the best passers I've ever seen, David Platt also, but I get your point, Beckhams crossing ability makes goals more often than any other player, but anyone can cross a ball, Aaron Lennon has even more to offer than Beckham, he skips past a man and THEN crosses it.

Gotta disagree with that sorry mate, he's just done nothing at Madrid

[Edited on 18-09-2006 by Sooty]

Have you ever bothered to watch him play at real madrid over the last 3 years, possibly their best and most conssitent player theyve had, same for england jsut because he doesnt score everyweek people think hes doing nothing, absolute superb player and possibly an all tiem great if it wenrt for the fact people get on his back soo much about his life outside of football.

Piss off, he engineered most of that with his skinny little rake of a wife.

'I confided in tom cruise about my england drop' get a grip

I like him, I think he's been a good player but he's not a legend. I like the way he's set up his academies though

so now he has gone from just a legend to being the footballer of the last decade...I think you've been dragged in by the Beckham bandwagon and publicity.

changing the world of football does NOT make you a legend or 'footballer of the last decade'....being the best footballer does
