I wear these, why? Because funnily enough I like them and they are comfortable. Not because I want people to think i'm better than what I actually am.

Also, in fairness it is white/red boots that tend to stand out more... or ones which really clash with the socks...

But it would be worth it
Anyhoo, as I said before, if you're good enough then you'll avoid the sly kicks and make the kickers look like a complete prat

However, if you are good enough to wear the boots then you will be good enough to avoid the kick
thats the point i was trying to put cross when arguing with lugi, i just ended up calling him something else instead
then your both as idiotic as eachother.

Exactly dave, no good player will.
These type of "players" play for shit teams that lose week in week out. This is from my experience.
When playing better teams with better players, they might say, "nice boots" we have a laugh, and get on with the game, play football. that what it's all about.

exactly Luigi. To go out and hurt someone because of the colour of their boots is a bit dim Fair enough if they are a cocky player trying loads of tricks or mouthing off then by all means

TBF I kick people anyway regardless of boot colour. John Terry says things like 'ill give Thierry Henry a kick early in the game' so I follow by the England captains example

damn right, there's a kick to let someone know you're about, and then there's deliberately going out to hurt someone.

But therein lies the point... most players with coloured boots are cocky bastids which is why they get a kick...

yes dave, completley agree. the latter of the examples you just said are players who dont desreve to be on the pitch. what gives them the right to completly fuck up a game that many people love.

a lot of players who I play with wear funky coloured boots because they honestly like the styling etc, yeah they want to stand out but they're in no way cocky at all.
I can imagine some people wearing them because they think it transforms them into Ronaldinho though
I used to wear bright red Adidas F50s. Thought they were a crap boot so changed to good ol Puma Kings in white and black. Simple boot, so comfortable, can run around for hours and not feel a think, I actually hate putting my trainers back on

Lugi get a grip FFS
the comment made by rob, which i agreed with amost some others is:
"players that where white/gold/purple/gay boots, often carry themselves on the pitch like there a star, are gods gift, usally throw in 20x to many stepovers, etc etc
that is 99% of cases ive found playing in what technically is the biggest leage in the uk
now, these players (much like the flashy players in the prem etc) attract attention to themselves
now much like in the prem, these players are targetted, look at people liek ronnaldo, di canio (god ) etc it happens, flasy player get targetted by defender, some times the skip round it, some times there shit, and are making out to be something there not, and get tackled, get over it
lesson 1: stand out for the right reasons

Good shout JR
Jizzy... you are obv a good player so nobody could have an issue! But anyone who plays footy at the very lowest level (like myself ) know that there are cocky gobshite eejits out there who buy white boots for example and think they are gods gift but they are crap and very irritating!

I do have to renew my boots after about 10-15 times worn though, I like tiempos but can only wear them whilst fairly new, otherwise my achilles aches.
There are plenty of penisheads who think they are better than what they are and try and do fancy flicks and tricks without doing the easy stuff.
