Lol people don't know about hd here.

Your tv is 720p steve so 720p films will look amazing.

1080i is a higher res so has to be downscaled to fit your screen.

Download both and see what you think.

1080p is the daddy but not very many tv's display that properly yet.

Mavs bush is 720p I think.

no mate, that would be standard definition.

The first figure is the number of horizontal lines that makes up the video. The second number is the number of vertical lines.

I posted the HD resolution on the first page

1280x720 is what you're after.

I just set my tv to 1366 x 768 which is my tvs native resolution and it shows in hd?

Should i make a custom one for 1280x720 then and see if it makes any difference?

Steve, get over to the Apple website. HD trailers are marked with an HD symbol.

They all look stunning

Dave17, your TV should pick up the HD source automatically (ie when you switch to the necessary input or switch your 360 on) no need to make another profile/setting

I would always use the 1366x768 mapping. That will mean that your computer will do the scaling rather than the TV and chances are it will scale it much better.

Tvs have to upscale or downscale anything they play though as nothing is in 1366x768.

Thats one of the differences between a cheap tv and a more expensive one though.
