sr cam should be about a tenner, as should the manifold and TB.
If youre getting a 285. secondhand ones are anywhere between 70 and 170 quid depending on condition/age/how kind the sellers feeling
edit: PS, by dirting hands stuff i meant some manual labour fitting them which you dont count the cost of, obviously this isnt worthwhile if like a lot of "enthusiasts" you then pay a garage £40 an hour to fit the stuff!!

My mate put a nova twin choke carb on his and it flew really lol, well better than mine when i had my 1.2
My 1.2 was nippy if i had my foot down everywhere i went lol, decat, drilled airbox is all i had on it

he works for renault nissan though, which cam belt would i need aswell?

Its a hydraulic tappet engine, it has no shims.
Also, the 1.4 8v inlet and throttle body is exactly the same size as the 1.2 one, the only difference is the injector.
60bhp is possible on them with Sr/Gte cam, de-cat, full exhaust, 4-1 manifold.
I ran the above mods on my old 1.2 engine, ran fine, std head, valves etc.
