Gutted...

Crewe were the better team until Extra time when they seemed to tire a little.

United's only chances came on the break, which is obviously when they scored in the end, Smith was shit all game, but played a great ball through for the game. Crewe defence were knackered and couldn't get back in time.

Proud of the lads though, they played damn well.

And i know that united had only a half decent team, but still the internationals on show... Argentine, 2 x England, France, Norway, (Wherever Kuzlack is from). Know it ain't the same, but Crewe had Billy Jones out, and O'Connor, both youth internationals, as well as 4 other players who'd normally make the team.

So all in all, i think they did bloody well, and put on a decent game of football as well

Thought United were very very poor. The ginger nut who came on didn't look upto much, tried to beat his man everytime and was too predictable.

Thought Otsembor was outstanding for Crewe all night, gave Heinze the run around for periods.

OGS - great finish from a top player, Alan Smith could learn a lot from him - he was awful.

Shame for Crewe, put up a good fight but ran out of legs which isn't surprising after how hard they all worked.
