for 8k, it'l' be a pig. High miles, thrashed, little, if any, service history, no warranty, poor bodywork, tyres shagged etc.etc.
All depends on what you're looking for I suppose

i reckon you could easily pick up a decent early lcr for ~9k at the mo.
obviously dealer prices are a different story

did he not say 225? and dealer prices are as they are because you are getting a 'proper' car. 12month warranty which can cost dealer up to £500 on a LCR normally, all tyres with 4mm tread, serviced if due and full dealer backup if something goes wrong! Service costs money...... I do know what youre saying, but will stand by my statement that he'll end up with a pig of a car on that budget.

Leon would be my choice.
It looks a little more mature when compared with the Astra. Astra looks a bit too boy racer-ish.
Both nice cars though.

Both would need some mods to keep you happy.

Not driven either, but would I be right in saying the Astra has better mid range?

I like both.
If you get an Astra GSi in silver you want to be shot though! They just look like normal Astra's.
Arden Blue is the colour.

Black/Silver or Graphite LCR 225... even in standard trim the LCR is a better car - prices reflect this.

Leon will be better all rounder, nothing wrong with the astra and its alot cheaper.
Tuning potential not as good as LCR, but possible.
Im after an astra next year, good value just try and find a red one

Oooooooh! I've never heard of that site. Is it new? Is that the only place I need to go for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Bugatti, Bentley and Lamboghini information, specs, pictures, technical advice and whats more, free image hosting??
