well tbf torrents still have there advantages there free, it seems there is a lot more rare things you can get through torrent and you still get decent speed with torrents any way.

I get 180k down and it takes me about an hour 10 to get a 700 meg film.
I know somebody who downloads from the same site and gets full speed on his cable.
5 mins for a 350meg tv show so he'll get a 700 meg film in 10 mins, again torrents and no charge.

about 3GB in 8 hours is roughtly 1mbps, depends how long it took though cos it might have been done in half that time which would mean your conenction was maxed out. To be honest though Im more suprised that you got anything like that speed from torrents with Tiscali

Open them in a newsgroup reader, something like Newsbin Pro.
Yes you have to subscribe to a Newsgroup host, I use Newshosting's Unlimited service which is $15 a month (so about £8), I'm also pretty sure (as has been mentioned) that Newzbin.com aren't accepting new registered members at present but that may of changed, another .nzb provider is Merlins Portal but again not sure if you have to register/subscribe etc etc.
As for people asking about them, surely you must appriciate that all this isn't something that should be discussed at length, you have google and I'm sure you can find all your answers given a bit of effort......

Yeah but when you upload stuff on torrents your download speed takes a right battering - you don't have this problem on newsgroups

No it doesn't.
Just don't let it use all of your upload bandwith.
