nothing special as regards spec at the minute, before i start attempting any power increases i want a solid engine!!!

it apparently has one of the old superchips on there but i have never looked so dont actually know, other than that the only mods are, FMIC, smaco's, spring on Actuator, Custom chrome exhaust

I have finished my Engine this weekend!!!!! was really nervous when atrting it up as was worried that it would either not work or blow up or something!!!!

well anyway, on friday night i finally got it all back together

From

To

Once the car wa back togther, it was crunch time!!!! and as you probably know it sounded like sh1t when i first started it up as i have to wait for all the cam followers to fill up etc, took ages and i was worried all the way through thinking they might be f00ked or something!!! but after avout 20mins the engine was running spot on and with pretty much no noise!! ir now sounds sweet as a nut!!!!

so finally pulled the corsa outside:

I am now totally happy with the way its running!!! just need to go on the all important test drive!!!

Well done mate, you should be pleased with yourself, nothing more satisfying than fixing up your car yourself.

Whoops

I am concerned about two things on the test drive:

1 - Cam belt, feels good but just worried that i have not got it right?
2 - Head gasket, is it right am i losing any water or oil etc???

i have got my fingers crosses that it all goes smoothly!!

Phil - i used the m-tech conversion kit, i got it from PVD but they are not abour anymore i dont think, you can get the same kit from regal etc or you can try rallyman of mig he does them and i think he is meant to be quite good!

cheers for the comments lads, test drive should be in a few days, just need to get MOT, Tax and swap my insurance back for the escort!

Been out on test drive now!!! all seems good, cambelt did not fall off anyway so thats a good start!!! feels so much smoother than before and i am not losing loads of water either which is always a good thing!!!

few small probs but nothing to really worry about just need to run it in abit and it will be all good for a nice caining!!!

not at work at the minute so cant upload any pics but will clean it up and get some pics as i am still of work for another two weeks with my Exams!!!
