Big risk setting up on your own and working for yourself. Must be willing to go the extra mile which i am sure you are and granted if you make it its fantastic but some don't make it
Good luck though
Sticking with degree's. the trouble today is everyone can do a degree in any subjet hence its the new a level eberyone has one.
the high profile companies will source candidates from established uni's such as UMIST, Manchester etc but with all the poly techs becoming uni it means everyone has a degree
Its no good IMO

Well top of my list are Microsoft, Accenture and Cap Gemini.
Unfortunately I'm at Bournemouth uni which isn't as highly regarded as southampton etc....
Bournemouth is vocational so I learn how to actually write software as oppose to the theory behind writing software

Id imagine Microsoft take on 1000's a year?
I just dont see how you'd get the same training and attention to your future than if you were with a smaller company with maybe 50 or so graduates.
