Took it all apart tonight, here is my finding





Fucking driveshaft has snapped.

Vauxhall have one in stock so i'll pick it up tommorow. Good £100 though but I'm not getting one from a scrappers !

How the feck do these snap?

why would you buy one from vauxhall?? get one for half that at a motor factors..

Couldve snapped for a few reasons, height, alignment problem, lots of things..

Because theres a years guarantee on it and I want to do it properly.

Any idea on the size of the main hub nut that I will need to remove ?

main nut is 32mm iirc.

have you got the other bit out of the box?

Yeah , used a bit or wire as a hook , came out no bother

Went and got new shaft from Vauxhall today , fitted tonight.

Back on the road once again.

Cant get pics mate as the old shaft has to go back to vaux (exchange thing)

But basically the tiny bit after the circlip was clean cut !!

It's difficult to get inner CV's from Motor Factors. For some reason they don't do them so you have to buy the shaft kit from Vauxhall.

I'm talking Vaux prices cos my local Motorfactors wouldn't do inner CV's

Yeah I was told Id be as well to get the whole shaft rather than an inner cv due to it being more expensive on its own !
