Standard 1.4 engine depends in bhp with the GT you get,
GT1 - highest bhp @ 136 but lowest torque
GT2 - middle of the road @ 133
GT3 - lowest bhp @ 132 but highest torque.
the GT3 with Seb2 @ 18psi will give about 165 - 170 bhp
robs psi is below that when i left him so atm i dont think it will be 165 unless he has turned it up..

Steve at the end of the day your leon has gained about 30 bhp off a remap, why is it so hard for myne to gain that amount with alot more mods ?

thing is, because these engines are getting on abit bhp will differ from standard cars anyway..
unless you have perfect rollers, and a brand new engine with all new bits etc etc.. you will never really know what gains the seb chip gives.
but as a rule of thumb
seb chip + fmic + 18psi + straight through exhaust (which yours isnt rob )
u are looking at 165 - 170

Bert, you're forgetting that the 1.8 20v VAG lump is THE best engine EVER when fitted to 1 car specifically.

powerstation, it costs a lot to get a rr there but they have got a good setup, they are a proper outfit designed the impreza type 25 etc, but i still dont take there power reading as gospel but its the best i have, and i only did a run there so i could compare power outputs from two different valves

IMPO i think the pgt is a reliable car if looked after..
i have had mine over a year now and the only think that broke was the original clutch that covered 72k.
nothing else has gone wrong yet.
brake pipes and such were replaced on mot but i dont really class that as a reliability problem.
never cut out, always started first time.
