(as far as i know) when i was asembling the struts and mounts i remember thinkin they can only go the one way

it appears that way yes, but the rasied centre part is what goes to the top. think of the circlip they have, its only there to stop the spherical bearing from coming out. if it broke, the whole centre part of the shocker will be free to move up and down at free will through your bonnet

they are deffo upside down, they need the strut tops modifying ot make them fit properly, ill get pics of mine tomorrow to show you

aye, have to cut the centre of the strut top slightly larger to make them fit, either that or cut where you want them to sit. and leave them there.

i cut mine up to the second skin, so i now get 360 degrees of adjustment

this car is going to a true mint when done! tv will regret using lenards gsi as the mint corsa ! i think yours cracks it

@john g have no pics, just on the fk springs. have polaroids of the 90mm on 17" dares but obviously not much use on polaroid

i know it as the euro spoiler. thats wot it was called when i bought it many years ago. also seen on pvd demo car b4 it was broken. as far as i know its very rare. very sexy imo. wil def be going back on. i love it. best spoiler for a b imo...

well i got mine at a time from i think it was from peter maiden components. dont know if u can still get it but theres a fiesta spoiler pretty similar that im sure it wouldnt take that much to mod to fit...

new purchases
electric window set up

finally have got my gsi archs (havent arrived yet) cheers rob hayes
big rear strut brace from james valver (cheers- hasnt arrived yet)
stripped out the interior for paintwork



have no pics of the loom out and its ready for paintowrk now asap after the holidays

dash out and ready to go for flocking along with other small trims ( i think) as soon as i get someone local(ish)

First time i've read this thread... Really good work going on there! Very professional. Nice one Would also like to see the 90mm springs with the 17's fitted as mine is 80mm on 17's and the rim is about 5mm off going into the rear arch at the rear If yours tucks into the arch i'll be well jealous

have no pics mate, only on polaoid and tbh cant be arsed taking a 17" rim from my daily car to put onto this just to take a pic. when i gte her painted and put the speedlines on ill throw the 90mm springs into it..

firstly some new purchases

genuine vaux gsi archs (brand new GRR)

rear pvd strut brace


got inside sprayed (once again massive thanks to my mate denver who gave up his sunday am to come over and blast it for me)

shamless plug

bodykit in primer




bonnet had a few chips primed on front
skirts and rear spoiler have no need of being primed

small update.

after just finsihing the garage have been doing a few wee things to the car again

smooth mirrors

also smoothed the drivers side scuttle hole but forgot to get pics yet



have now done a semi on this and removed the rear washer jet, forgot to take pics again

couldnt find a decent tailgate over here so had to buy a new one

also fitting that spoiler to it someday very soon



bigger spal fan to either replace my pacet or add it on the other side of the rad

spend some time on car again today, firstly had some good luck and my speedlines fitted over my v6 brakes without the need for spacers or grinding the caliper or anything, so i was happy about that.


only clears by a few mm but im happy with that
modified the front archs for clearance for speedlines

put the rears on as i wanted to check the wheel with the rear disc conversion
