Brilliantly executed free kick but it should never have been given

90% of the time you'd see a free kick given in that situation, my first thought is that it was too far out to score realistically, but briliiantly taken.
Ironically as soon as Saha missed that sitter, Van Nist. scored for Madrid.

I've never realised how insanely biased David Pleat is/was until this match.
Poorly taken penalty which really shouldn't have been given anyway

Terrible penalty
Take your point about the free kick but the ref was never gonna give it until he heard the crowd.

Bit of a snatch and grab for Celtic but have to say
WELL DONE....
Both teams were not at their best but Man u's passing for the most of the game was superior.
Few dodgy decisions aswell..
Some freekick
BUT
SAHA, what the feck were you doing at that chance
WELL DONE CELTIC though..thats football that IS

Well that was amusing, if that had been Chelsea, Chelsea would have won easily in Scotland, Man Utd over complicate things with all this fancy arse passing and switching play.
Chelsea would have just ground out the result, especially with the chances Man Utd had, thought Man Utd looked average.

Yes you are right Chelsea would have ground out the result. United were far from average however at no point did the final ball threaten. We were a bit Arsenal'esc tonight trying to do too much. Unfurl the FUCKING SHOOT banner behind the goal please

United dominated the game, just their final ball was frankly awful, only real chances they had were Ronaldo in the first half (suprise suprise he missed and then wanted a foul) and Saha's in what, the 85th minute.
United were more than average just very poor with their final ball.
Very good result for Celtic in the end.

For all Man u's possesion they were very poor in final 3rd...
Typical attitude thinking chesea would have done better? that a fore gone conclusion?? Don't think so........
Celtic had a game plan and in the end it worked.....Yeah man u had the possesion but means nothing at the end of that day..
Still going to put Scottish football down....Plenty of english sides came and got beat up here and Celtic going down to you and turning over liverpool and blackburn.
I don't think it would have been a fore gone conclusion chelsea would have won, get a grip...

ronaldo got fouled as much as the celtic player who won the free kick that they scored from.

No I don't speak pish you typical fcuking Scot. Out played for 75 mins, free kick that shouldn't have been given, goal. As crap as Man Utd were they were still miles better technically than Celtic.
Wank Scottish teams always raise their game against English opposition, you will draw Lyon or Barcelona in the next phase and will get a licking because they aren't English.
Enjoy it while it lasts, because it never lasts long in Scotland.
