It's not the finished article, she mainly wanted an idea of layout etc, but obviously the fact that it cant be viewed on firefox etc is quite a major problem!

Well, I give it a score of 0/10, on the basis that it asks me to download a HTML file in both Opera AND IE!

Fixed-width sites should be rounded-up and shot!
Looks daft when viewed in 1600x1200!
"Best viewed in ..." = "The web-designer was too lazy to research how to make websites properly!"

How do you design sites without using tables. Do you use Div's and CSS?

I've found that I use a combination as I can't work out how the hell to place a div in the center of the page without a table....

Lol.. you should use a wrapper to wrap your content divs in.
CSS:
#wrapper{
margin: 0 auto;
width:780px;
}
HTML:
<div id="wrapper">Content here</div>

CSS confuses me because I haven't read up on it. I plan on redoing my clubs site in it at some stage in January as at the moment it is all hacked to pieces by my friend and myself. Are there any sites people can recomend me where I can get some good info? Cheers

Is that not depreciated in the latest version of HTML? I could have used this but wanted to have W3 compliant code.....
